Talent is something all parents want their children to have. In reality, I believe, there is no kid without a talent. It’s just a matter of determining your child’s strength and gift, and helping him or her develop it. Some of us may prefer a specific gift for our kids, but we shouldn’t force it upon them if they don’t have it. Doing so just might hinder the development their true craft. Your child’s personality may even be affected if you get too pushy.
One of the talented kids that caught my attention just recently is Connie Talbot, a 6-year-old girl with an amazing voice and the most adorable smile. She was a finalist on the first series of Britain’s Got Talent. On all of her performances, “nasty” Simon Cowell has nothing but praises for her, she’s that good. And cute.
I swear I had to hold myself back from crying when I heard her angelic voice.
Here’s the video of her first performance at the screening of BGT. Take note of Simon Cowell’s mood before Connie sang, and how it changed the moment he hears her voice.
My apologies to my more “fashionable” counterparts, but I really don’t understand the concept of buying rubber slippers worth almost a thousand pesos (about US$25).
Well, I admit I myself own a pair, but it was a Christmas gift and I hardly use it because I am still quite satisfied with my 40-peso slippers that I’ve had for more than a year now.
I hear people raving about these slippers. I see people wearing flaunting them all over the place, as if wearing those expensive rubber footwear should mean that the people wearing them are more superior than me.
They’re rubber slippers, for Christ’s sake! And no matter how much they cost, no matter what you call them, THEY ARE RUBBER SLIPPERS.

Long before we had kids, my husband and I already decided that we will be very open to our kids when it comes to discussing different aspects in life, including sex.
It’s a complicated thing to discuss with your children, I know, but I think it can be done. I believe that if you bring up your child to look at things with an open mind, he/she will learn to ask intelligent questions, even about the stupidest and “dirtiest” of things. And of course, when they ask innocent questions, you need to be prepared with an informative and intelligent answer as well.
It also helps to prepare yourself for possible questions your kids might ask. Check the video I found on YouTube for an idea of what kids might ask about sex.
“Welcome to my site and I hope you’ll be with me with every step of my journey through motherhood.”

I’m actually way behind my scheduled official launch, but there are were road blocks that needed to be hurdled and at the same time, there were more important things that I needed to attend to.
I guess that’s what being a mother is all about, isn’t it? Putting your family’s concerns before your own. And I am not complaining. I’m just trying to justify the reason behind the delay of this websites launch by saying that I had to do my chores. ![]()
