There are a lot of books out there that can help you through your nine-month journey to motherhood. I had several, and among them, my favorites and the most-read are the ones that make me laugh. Maybe because I’m biased on things that cheer me up, but I think it’s because it is human nature to be more receptive on things that don’t “lecture” you.
Anyway, I came upon this book and I feel so bad that I didn’t find this while I was pregnant. The tips and information in Safe Baby Pregnancy Tips were so ridiculously illustrated any pregnant woman will surely laugh till she becomes teary-eyed. Anyone will double up with laughter upon seeing the hilarious illustrations.
Their comparisons of the pregnancy dos and don’ts are hilariously obvious and, as described in Official Dating Resource, extremely ridiculous. Take, for example, this image…
Here’s something I chanced upon while doing some research. Okay I was browsing through the net while reasearching. ![]()
I found this on LoveThoseKids, a very useful manual for parents who have toddlers.

The Rules of a Toddler
If it is on, I must turn it off.
If it is off, I must turn it on.
If it is folded, I must unfold it.
If it is a liquid, it must be shaken, then spilled.
If it a solid, it must be crumbled, chewed or smeared.
Bringing kids to the doctor for their vaccine shots can be a tiresome challenge to many parents. As a kid, I remmeber myself giving my parents hell whenever it’s time for my vaccine shots. I didn’t want that needle going through my skin. ![]()

I know I haven’t posted much about gaming (expect to see some in the future, though, because that’s one of my interests), but I have my reasons, okay? All in due time.
And that time has come. Sort of.
Some friends of mine are judging in this blog awards in the Philippines, and if you know somebody who has a Philippine-based gaming blog, let them check this out.
The Philippine Blog Awards has opened a special category for Pinoy Gaming Bloggers. So if you think your gaming blog is the best one locally then dont just talk the talk, showcase it to the world.

I received an email way back when I was ridiculously preoccupied with my nearing childbirth and growing toddler. It was about Vitamin C, one of the most popular nutrients, yet also taken for granted by many.
I do believe that Vitamin C is one of the most important nutrients that people, most especially infants and children, need. There are diseases that you can avoid by getting vaccines. For those ailments and medical conditions that do not have vaccines, the general solution is getting enough vitamin C.

Here’s the article that will enlighten us about this vitamin.
Only 59% of Filipino children consume vegetables, while only 31% consume fruits daily, according to the current statistics of the Sixth National Nutrition Survey. With the rising food prices, this consumption may further go down. And because essential nutrients tend to escape during food preparation, children may be getting even less Vitamin C. The recent survey of the energy and nutrient intake of Filipino children noted that their actual Vitamin C intake is only at 74.8% of the recommended daily intake.
I discovered FaceYourManga.com through a friend. Because of my slight fascination over almost anything Japanese, I tried making a Manga version of my whole family.

I’ve “cleaned up” my blogroll, and if you’ll notice, the list is a bit shorter now. That’s because I decided to keep just the sites wherein MommyOnTop is included in their blogroll. If my site is linked in yours and you don’t see your site listed in my blogroll, please, PLEASE shoot me message through my Contact page so I can update my links and include yours. If you wish to exchange links
You can do the same if you wish to exchange links with me.
I’ve also added a code for my own 125×125 banner. It’s somewhere on the right-most sidebar. Feel free to add my banner on your site. It would be better if you let me know that you’ve done so, so I can add you in my blogroll. Or if you have your own banner, I would be happy to exchange with you.
Also, I am opening my doors for advertisers. If you are interested, just click on one of the blue boxes under “SPONSORS” on my sidebar to shoot me a message. I’ll get back to you with the details as soon as I can. The standard banner size is 125×125, but I can accommodate other sizes as well.
Thanks and I’m hoping my blogroll will be filled with friendly links soon!
Every parent goes through the challenge of teaching their child to eat healthily. Kids can be the most frustrating picky eaters, and many parents sometimes resort to deception to make the kids eat whatever “healthy” food is served on the table.
Here’s something I got from an old issue of Reader’s Digest (March 2008).
In one of my recent posts, I received a comment from the owners and founders of a site called The Pakistani Spectator. It is a site that takes “a candid look on everything happening in and for Pakistan.”

They requested for an interview. I must admit, I was hesitant at first because I haven’t heard of the site. However, when I saw what their site is all about, I told myself, “If there’s one site I would take time to promote and give exposure to, this is it.” Their yearning to make people aware about what’s happening in their country is admirable.
So I readily answered the interview questions.
